38. He was great.
He spoke for about an hour. Touched on levelling the playing field for women and minorities. Made several anti-Bushco remarks.

Everyone loved him.

39. He's been a great friend and crowdpleaser for union events
Jesse has always taken up carrying the torch for MLK's latter years focus on economic issues which is why the right HAD to assassinate his character.

When you are near him in person it's like standing next to a giant even though he isn't all that large.

40. It was quite a privilege to be in the same room with him...
....And to hear him speak. The luncheon was one of our Diversity Program events, I'm on the committee, and the topic was "Black History Month", so he gave everyone a history lesson and spoke of the need to excel, regardless of your ethnicity and background.

It was a pleasure to work with him. His people were just great.

BTW, I'd reckon he's about 6'1" easy, maybe even a little taller.

37. I met him in the late 60s or early 70s.
He was on my flight and a cabin attendant brought him up to the cockpit. Had a huge afro. At the time he was only locally known in Chicago as head of Operation PUSH (People United to Stop Hunger).
