Gooooood Morning DU!
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 06:47 AM by BlondieK143
How is everyone this (cold) morning?? Have a :donut: and tell me what's going on. And only one more day until Friday (for those of you lucky ones that get the weekend off). :)

Have a great day!

9. Goood Morning from Germany
It's afternoon here already - I'm nearer to the weekend than most of you ... We had not as much snow as the southern parts of Germany/Europe, and most of it has been thawing.

Lot's of work to do both in my job and with my private work, but today it's fine with me. I have some good hope to get a great freelance photo project running - that would mean I could probably even quit my 9-6.30 office job.

Have a great day, all of you!

Good luck with the project! It's cool doing something you like to do instead of an office job that keeps you tied down. Let us know how things go! :)

And glad to hear you're not too snowed in there!

13. Good morning blondie!
You have a great day too. I would love to be more enthusiastic but until that first cup of coffee and that first cigarette ( and my extra special secret vice that no one knows about... that first Ho Ho in the morning) I'm pretty damn useless.

So have a great day! I'll say it now and mean it later. Anyway I'm off to get some coffee....

22. Blast from the past
At the supermarket a couple of day ago, the deli manager recognized me. We had gone to high school together, he was in the class behind mine. He told me his name, and I immediately remembered him. Didn't get to talk too long, he was short-handed and was very busy. Since that's my neighborhood supermarket, I'm in there regularly.

Holy small world, Batman!

26. Not really
I haven't seen Ricky in nearly 25 years. We'll start with recognizing each other by name and go from there. He still lives in the old neighborhood and works in mine. That's about a 25 min drive, traffic cooperating.

That's still cool though. Sometimes it can be a good thing running into people from the past, other times, not so fun.

29. I still keep up with my friends from college
that's work enough for me. One lives close, but is married with children. The other lives far, and his kids are nearly grown. One is in college, the other is finishing HS. I have to call one later today and plan for lunch, but I have to call early before he goes on dad duty. Next week will be fine, but I almost forgot...

There's still no doughnut for you! :P

Been working out this week?

30. :)
Nope, I sure haven't. I think I did something to my left foot last Sunday night and it really hasn't been the same since. Since I've been serving more this weekend (and getting my butt kicked!) I've put off going to the gym. Yeah, I'm a slacker!

Does it bother you that many of your friends are married with kids and you're still single?

31. Not at all
One lost his wife to illness. I know more divorced and unmarried people than married people. Most of them say, with tongue in cheek, don't have kids. I've been a camp counselor, so taking care of kids is not unfamiliar to me, and not my idea of fun. Considering my childhood, and early adult life (6 years in the Navy) I'm hardly properly prepared to be a parent and I missed my parenting years.

I'm actually in pretty good company.

How do you feel, closing on your parenting years?

That was a pretty good answer. So are children out of the question for you permanently? It's not like you're 50 or anything. :)

As for me, I found out two of the girls I was very cloe with in high school with are getting married and one of them is expecting. I think that's the first time it hit me that in a few years, who knows? It's kinda scary, but at the same time I'm beginning to think I'm going to be old and gray with 20 cats. :D

Don't let them get hold of your credit cards and internet access. No telling what they'll order.

Well, I say never say never. I could be a coach to kids that are already here. They need the care more than continuing an arbitrary bloodline.

You've got time, don't rush!

21. everyday is a good day in some way
Life just keeps getting better - when I look at the bright spots in the day instead of the things that I've stubbed my toe on along the way. I can always find something to smile about and that's a contagious condition.

37. Have you heard the new "news about coffee" ?
Yesterday, there was a small spot on the "about your health" of the noontime TV news that "drinking 2 or more cups of coffee each day lowers the chance of developing liver cancer". My liver isn't "at-risk" but I do love coffee ~ so I smiled and refilled my cup again.
