Moving.

Have nine boxes, already sold 3 boxes.

Have sold hundreds over the years.

5. I concur -- though it's fun to confuse people by sending book finders
to wheresgeorge.com every once in a while, and vice versa.

7. Boxes?
I used 45 gallon plastic containers.

Up two flights of stairs.

But my new house has built in book shelves :)

P.S. Resistance is futile!

22. Good luck!
I was still putting mine away, today, and I've decided to box some up. I'll store them for a little bit. If I don't miss them, maybe I'll sell 'em. :)

8. I cherish my library
I've moved a lot -- and I've hauled those damn heavy boxes again and again. Yeah, I've down-sized, but I still have quite a library. And I wouldn't give it up. I'm always going back to something I read years ago.

Sorry, I know this was no help.

20. yes it was.
very encouraging.

The books keep getting heavier. Nice paper.
I have some of my grandad's old books. That paper is very thin and fragile.

10. why would you want any help???
books are one of the most beautiful things in the world. I couldn't live without them. Yes, it is a pain in the ass when moving but to see a good private library is a wonderful thing. OK, libraries at all are a wonderful thing. But who I am saying that, me being a librarian :)

13. I agree
Books are a great way to keep your mind sharp. I mean they are wonderful tools to take you out of your own life into an adventure born in someone else's mind. How great is that?

19. I gave some books away also
but with a very heavy heart. Every day when I come home the first thing i see are my bookshelves which are standing in the hallway due to not enough space in the living- and bedroom. And I have a shelves there also. It is very hard for me to get rid of books.

on library science (librarian is a field that always appealed to me).

I need to whoop the dewy decimal system on them .. or something.

I like organization.

'sorting'..

I really don't think books belong in boxes.

They make me feel so good.

What books are:

descriptors : I have fashion (which is a minor for me) . but I like to "dress rich" . unless I'm slouching around in my sweats. dress that up.

and

I have a lot of anatomy books, etc for my career ..

and

all these bibles from the time I was a b-thumper.

yearbooks .

very old books I've collected.

The full set of McGuffey's Readers.
Full seven edition of 'The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe".

Charles Dickens.

Catcher in the Rye.

This is stuff you just cannot let go of.

I rue the day that I gave up "The Grapes of Wrath.".
I'll find another copy. Don't worry.

ah .books..
