I've been telling myself that it was okay that we were estranged because HE hasn't called me in the last six months, even though he has been telling everyone else he wanted to make peace in what I perceive is a very manipulative way, and THEN HE CALLED.

So much for my ongoing mental justification for staying away.

I'll read your replies when I get back. I don't even know what I want. Energy for doing the right thing, maybe? Courage in facing my demons? Compassion for his?

Oh, crap, why did I answer the damn phone? And why is my beloved husband out of town on business tonight?
