Cats are MASTERS at using guilt.
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 06:08 PM by Padraig18
As I was locking up a while ago, I felt a tug at my ankle; looking down, this fur ball has his paw wrapped around my ankle. He then looks up at me, issues a very faint (and very pathetic) 'meow'. It took me all of .3 seconds to realize that I would be having a companion for the commute home this evening, and possibly from now on. I'm such a wuss...

:P

1. He's so cute!
It's hard to resist those feline 'guilt' eyes. Even though all they really want you around for is food and a warm lap!

2. I don't like cats, they scare me
They behave as if they know something about you that you don't. Like your ultimate fate.

9. If he wasn't so sweet, I could resist.
But he's just such a NICE cat; I'd have felt like a monster, if I hadn't brought him home.

10. He TOLD you he was a nice cat
Yup...in reality he's probably one of those cats hanging on street corners pushing cat-nip to kittens.

(look who's talking, my cat OWNS me):)

11. I am employed part-time as a member of the housekeeping staff...
for three of these. What you describe in the post is somewhat similar to what I experience every Tuesday and Thursday morning. My youngest, Pooky, grabs my calf or ankle when I get out of the shower and start getting dressed, apparently to keep me from completing that task. He also uses the eye thing to try and guilt me into staying home and playing with him instead of going to work. He has big green eyes that could melt a cannon at 100 yards when he turns on the charm and guilt.

14. Yes, we've been bringing him home on weekends & holidays.
It seems he's decided to abandon his 'night watchman' duties at the bookstore. He also seems especially fond of Tony, although he likes us both.
