I'm giving up DU for lent... how about you?

I'm not a practicing Catholic, but I like the idea of a bit of sacrifice each year - removing something from your life that you enjoy, but may not help you actualize the best person you can be, and that allows you to be more mindful of others.

So, this year I'm giving up internet message forums from Mondays - Fridays, when I should, really, be doing other things. I have a love hate relationship with the 3 or 4 places I regularly post so it's nice to have an excuse to put them all down for a month.

By the way, I know I'm late, but I just decided this morning - so I'm starting tomorrow.

Anyone else giving up anything good?

Of course, I never actually had anything to do with Lent in the first place but I did feel that I owed it nothing.

I don't post much at all anymore, and I'm probably more informed and less stressed than 99.9% of the members here for doing it. It's easy to get caught up in a virtual world and forget there's a real world out there. And I know from personal experience, as most here no doubt do if they admit it, if you're posting 20-40 times a day at this site, you're killing a good 4+ hours a day (and that's being conservative), because you're not just posting, you're also reading a lot of other posts.
