1. It was a single fan
The rest of the crowd was respectful ...

Come on don't label all A's fans that way .

4. I LABEL ALL As FANS THAT WAY
Kidding. Fan got the tar smacked out of him by an Oakland cop. Instant karma, baby.

17. Yup... the A's players weren't the only ones "choking."
Sorry, but when I see an opening... I take it.

2. I didn't care which team the yankees got to beat .....
Now I want Boston to win because of those jerky fans. I guess a DUer from Ca might be able to move me back into the don't care column.

3. yeah but
that fan should not have been tossed out. He didn't throw anything. All he did was harass Ortiz.

You're ALLOWED to harass players, especially of the opposing team.

I think it was unfair.

But the fan should have shown class.

The fan threw something at Jackson, right after Jackson nearly got his head blown off.

15. I watched the replay and while it hapened
and the announcers on tv never said a fan threw anything.

All I saw was the fan saying "F-U Ortiz".

Then the group of players walked over.

lets hear it for the asshole who hit the BoSux HR and taunted the A's bench. Lots of class there.

Every person in that stadium was on their feet cheering in support when the injured players finally left the field.

Cheers

13. Oakland cop style
These cops deal with Hell's Angels...and were the cops that fired the rubber dowels at the protesters during the war. The also up a bunch of longshoremen who were in the way. They didn't care.

16. On the whole, I think the A's fans were pretty classy.
Like Fenway Park doesn't have a few A-holes who'd have pulled the same bullshit.

Ramierez's trot was dissed pretty bad on Fox...Steve Lyons, a former Red Sox player, was even down on that.

But in Ramierez's defense, I think he was pointing to the Sox dugout...and I have to say I saw Zito make Ramierez look lost on the last at-bat, the worst at-bat I've ever seen him have, in fact...Zito also had his number in that ups, too....until Manny finally got one he could connect on. He shouldn't have done the Cock-of-the-walk bit, but I'd give any player the benefit of the doubt in a similar circumstance, I think...

Still a great series for both teams...tough to see anyone lose that series, I think.
