I check to see how books end before I've even finished the first page.
I thought I was alone until I saw "When Harry Met Sally" and Harry confessed he did the same thing. Anyone else unable to wait to see how the story ends?

1. No way
I go out of my way to make sure I don't get an accidental peek.

5. P.S. What can you judge by the last page?
Edited on Fri Feb-04-05 02:10 AM by NYC
I thoroughly enjoyed War and Peace, but I hated the ending because of Sonia.

If I had read the last page, I wouldn't have known who Sonia was anyway, but it would be a terrible thing to think I wouldn't like War and Peace just because I didn't like the ending.

Edit: For those who want to know, essentially, at the end of War and Peace, everyone lives happily ever after except Sonia, who doesn't even get "honorable mention".

3. Seems kinda pointless
until you at least know what the story's about.

End of the first chapter maybe.

I think you just protect yourself from getting involved unless you know there's a happy ending
