Oh, and By the Way, I ALMOST DIED YESTERDAY
There is this SUV in front of me, that is in the right lane and has its leSo I was driving to work yesterday, and on my way I take a very short portion of the freeway, like from one exit to the next within town (not taking the freeway adds another 2 miles to the trip). I'm in Montana though, so there's almost no one on the freeway, and everyone is going the speed limit or above. In front of me in the right lane there is this SUV with its left blinker on. In the left lane two trucks pass it, and I think, ok this dude is changing lanes. Then he slams on his brakes in the right lane with his left blinker on! I of course slam my brakes and lay on the horn, but this guy is stopped! I am totally gonna hit the asshole. I swerve onto the shoulder and pass him at about 30mph (still slamming on the brakes). I was afraid that if I were to pass him on the left he might actually make the left turn his blinker had been signalling..... Anyway, so I look in my mirror and this asshole turns left ILLEGALLY into the gravel ambulance/cop turn around lane FROM THE RIGHT LANE!!!

Man, do people who have lobotomies get to keep their licenses?

1. In your state you can get a driver's license by sending in
cereal box tops. No, really.

3. Sir, have you ever driven on the Dan Ryan Expressway?
That particular move is almost commonplace.

4. we're glad you're still here...
and very glad you have quick reflexes! I had someone do something like that to me at MUCH slower speed years ago, and I clipped 'em. You did good!

5. I once had an SUV driver turn left from the right hand lane
of a two lane one-way street, I was in the left lane about 10 feet behind him. He blamed it on his blind spot, but didn't seem to understand that you need to be in the left lane to make a left turn on a one way street. Idiot.

Glad you're okay.

7. Glad you are O.K.
Again, I'm thanking Spirit you are O.K. Don't feel bad. This retired social worker can tell you that many people are high or drunk while they are driving. What time was this?

Been killed almost twice. A 'dry drunk' hit me (how sober he was is anyone's guess) on what we call 'the dieway' crossing into my lane, shouting, 'Her lights were on - and they blinded me!' It was about 7 P.M. at night in the winter - pitch dark - and I did NOT have my brights on. That was the best one.

People just either never learned or don't remember the rules of the road. I stop each day, to make a right, and watch an entire line of cars, out of this development, turn left in front of us - and they are supposed to yield. Everyone in my line kind of looks at each other. Oh, well - I tell my kid every day - people are complete idiots. Remember that.
