Poll question: Sgt. Peppers or Pet Sounds
Two great albums that changed the recording industry. Of course Peppers was influenced by Pet Sounds, but it seems more people like The Beatles more.
What say you?
And no..I'm not stuck in the past, I am in the middle of watching The making of Sgt. Peppers.

2.  I like SPLHCB but I prefer "Their Satanic Majesties Request"
as you probably know it was released as the Stones' retort to SPLHCB.

Many critics don't like it though. 2,000 Light Years From Home is class and Bill Wyman's In Another Land is really trippy.

7. Another one thats worth checking out the mono version...
Majesties really holds up on the more crude, rocking mono version.

I think that record is better than critics give it credit for...

4. Close call, but Pet Sounds is less dated...
Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 03:38 PM by Dr Fate
I really prefer the MONO Sgt. Pepper- its worth while to seek out a copy-its like a whole different record in a way.

Of course, most all Pet Sounds releases are in mono- a lot of people don't realize that...

8. Do people around here listen to Millennium Remasters?
Millennium Remasters are very cool remasters of Beatles (mono AND stereo) that sound absolutely great!

Ever check them out, Dr?

9. The best Beach Boys album vs. the worst Beatles album?
I'll go with Pet Sounds.
