Budweiser Adds Herbs, Caffeine To Beer
<snip>

ST. LOUIS -- Anheuser-Busch is adding a little jolt to its new beer brand. B-to-the-E is being rolled out nationwide, after being test marketed in 55 cities.

The "E" stands for extra, in this case caffeine and herbs, including ginseng.

The world's largest brewer is going after the 20-something market with the fruity brewski.

But some beer-lovers might have a hard time downing the stuff. Anheuser-Busch even suggests that B-to-the-E be served over ice.

2. caffeine and herbs!
That's tea, not beer. And God save me from anyone wanting to serve me beer over ice.

9. Man, they're dying to jump on the craft brew bandwagon, aren't they?
I wouldn't object to trying either in a beer, just not Bud.

10. Beer with herbs
The ancient Egyptians flavored some of their beers with herbs and juice (pomegranite for example) and in the Middle Ages herbs and fruit were added to beer for flavoring. I've had heather beer is Scotland and it was very tasty. Besides, what are hops?
