Ok I no longer give up on baseball for the season anymore
Beattie, Flanny, and Angelos are actually making quite the effort for Delgado, now where can we get some pitching. I live for the day when the O's take over the AL East, its only happened once in my life and I was 10 then, but hey things repeat themselves right. Oh and I would be just as content to win 85 games and finish in third place but I want to go all the way.

1. um, i'm so sorry, but my Marlins grabbed Delgado
he signed a 5 year $54 million deal with an option for a 6th year.
We're going back to the World Series!

4. good, keep him in the NL
where he can't hurt my Twins except in the playoffs (I do not think we see the Marlins during interleague this year)

6. What about them?
I'll root for the Nats, but Ive always been an Orioles fan ever since I played baseball. The Nats and O's are in different leagues and wont play each other, no COI there.

10. ha
well you didnt have anything to worry about in the first place. Even if you guys didnt add Johnson and Pavano, the Yanks would have finish first in the AL east and the Sox would finish second, its been like that ever since I was 11.

14. it's one of those natural laws
And you know what? I'm glad the Sox won. They have become everything they once hated- a high payroll team that actually won. They have no excuses anymore. The Yankees are hungry for blood, and they WILL kick Sox ass in 2005.
You heard it here first.

15. but then someone will beat you guys in the playoffs or series
its been that way since 2001. The sox have always been high payroll since that became the way to do things.

16. that's an interesting look at it
i think it's funny too that my marlins, once a proud low-budget team have just doubled their payroll with one player.
