1. Same storm is headed our way
...we'll be on the southern edge of the snow -- they're saying 3-5 inches but I'm betting 6+. Then the winds are supposed to pick up.

I was hoping this would hold off until Sunday night...major test on Monday.

Maybe you'll have better luck than I will.

17. I doubt it.
By the time it gets to dc, there'll be nothing left. Then again, it doesn't take much to paralyze dc. I'll take freezing rain and ice.

They are predicting 6-12 inches of snow here between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Oh well........
It is 15 degrees here right now, which I realize is not going to get me any sympathy from you guys out there by Lake Michigan.

8. You've only had, like, 0.8 of an inch?
Lowest season total so far since the 1890s?

Where I'm at we've already met and passed our season total...we were in the bullseye of the big storm that hit over Christmas. We had almost 6 inches fall yesterday when they were only calling for a dusting.

I like snow, but it's a pain in the ass to drive in, especially if you're not used to it, as we aren't since we've been having fairly mild winters for several years. This year must be payback.

14. Until today, we only had about 3 inches total when the norm is 25
by this time of year. I'm getting ready to head out early to try to avoid the worse of the traffic, but it's getting pretty deep out there!
