Them: How is your meal? A: Good Them: Great!
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 02:51 PM by KurtNYC
Have you ever noticed when you go out to eat and the waitperson comes back after you have been served, they will ask something like, "How is everything?"

Then whatever you say, they will increase by one notch. Like this:

Answer: Good Them: Great!

Okay you didn't say it was great but they did. They inflate their own feedback right in front of you. If you say:

A: Great They say: "Excellent!"

I have wondered about this. When their kids bring home a report card, "What did you get in math honey?"

A: "I got a B+" Them: "Straight A's! Way to go!"

The next time they ask me how my food is, I'm going to say, "It is perfect! Couldn't be better! Infinitely good!"

What can they say to that?!
