10. F Troop theme
http://www.timstvshowcase.com/ftroop.html
The end of the Civ-il War was near when quite ac-ci-den-tal-ly
A he-ro who sneezed ab-rupt-ly seized retreat and re-versed it to vic-to-ry
His med-al of hon-or pleased and thrilled his proud lit-tle fam 'ly group
While pin-ning it on some blood was spilled and so it was planned he'd com-mand
F Troop!

Where In-di-an fights are col-or-ful sights and no-bo-dy takes a lickin'
When pale - face and red - skin both turn chick - en
When dril-ling and fight-ing get them down they know their mo-rale can't droop
As long as they all re-lax in town, before they re-sume with a bang and a boom
F Troop!

12. Can't decide...
F Troop is full of Bilko-esque schtick and a subtle contempt for the cliches of western movies...plus the Heckawee Indians all dressed suspiciously like hippies.
On the other hand, Gilligan's Island is a well cast if ubiquitous sitcom....and Alan Hale and Jim Backus are always funny.
There is this great bit where they build a raft to float Mr. Howell back to civilization....Jim Backus comes down to the lagoon resplendent in yachting whites and commodore's cap.
Gilligan stares at him like a slack jawed yokel whilst Backus smiles and murmurs "Well...you NEVER dress for the first night out you see..."

14. Gilligan's Island
It was a more outstanding, successful example of mediocrity.

Also, the theme song can get stuck in your head for, oh, hours!

(Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...)

The Professor and Ginger were both so HOT!!

21. Ahh, the intellectual's nemesis -- Corporal Agarn vs."Little Buddy"...
Whilst standing before the crackling fireplace in the wee hours, I've often pondered, over a brandy, and with my aromatic, smoldering Dunhill briar in hand -- which of these two landmark comedic teleplays is the superior one?

Certainly, our arts and culture would be all the poorer if not for these operatic productions. However, based upon the recurring leitmotif of the plunge-into-the-lagoon-as-symbolic-rebirthing, I fear I must give the nod to Gilligan et al.

Thereby hangs a tale, and my stuffed shirt.

22. F-Troop, because...
..."It is balloon!"

The blonde actress was pretty impressive, too. I'd take her over The Movie Star and Mary Ann!
