Can Someone Tell Me Where / Who This Quote is From?

tried searching both Yahoo and Google and the only thing that turned up was someone's sig quote in a gaming forum. I've found the attribution to the latter part from a mangling of Wilde, but am curious about the first.

have a quotations database linked to them.

I work for one; we have Bartlett's online, and I've always had good luck with keywords!

Edit: Alas, Bartlett's online yields zilch.

3. It is Osacr Wilde and it is either from Dorian Gray or The Importance of

Being Earnest...can't remember which but it was in the postscript of one of those..not in the actual text of the book
