Help! Do you tip your barber?
I have a question. Are you supposed to tip your barber? If so, how much (haircuts costs $12-$15)?

I am young (24) and have gone to a local barber shop my whole life to get a haircut and have never tiped them. However, I have just moved and have gone to the chain places like Great Clips a few times. Am I supposed to tip there? I get my hair buzzed, so it usually takes just 10 min or so for them to do.

Is it ok that I don't tip at the local barber shop or am I just a cheap ass son of a cheap ass father who never learned the art of tipping?

Thanks for the help.

3. I tip my barber.
My haircut cost $16. I give her a $20. I always get a good haircut...for me, it's right to tip.

are you crazy?
that man has a sharp object around your head, could just fill your chair slot with a tipping customer and might not care if you ever come back. Add it all up and you too could end up with the latest fashion trend: the male pattern baldness shave is coming back you know!

Yes, tip! I usually tip a five on a twenty dollar job; you can probably get away with 3 or 4 on the amounts he charges. He'll always take good care of you.
