1. do you have a pastor or counsellor?
they could give you advice for what to do to sever the ties.

so why should she quit?

Dating a co-worker is never a good idea.

5. It'll just take time--is there a way you can avoid her?
Meaning, if you know she goes to lunch at 1, go to lunch at 12...if you know she comes to talk to X, be away from your desk at that time?

It sucks, I'm sure...but don't let her run you out of your job.

7. Well, my daddy always told me
"Son, don't ever get your meat where you get your bread."
Someone has to go, you or her.

9. Look for another job, and take one if a good one comes along
I've been there, but never, ever again will I date someone I work with for that reason.

In the meantime, why not exercise? You could be working on some of those hormones at the gym. And then she'll look at you in time to come and say to herself, "why did I ever jilt that hunk?" While you will have moved on.

If you're already a well exercised hunk, buy some clothing worthy of you. Take your sister with you for advice.

I give the same exact advice to any female in the same situation.

10. find another job
Don't quit the old job until you have the new one lined up, but go ahead and start looking. It will focus you on the future, and get you moving.

It takes much longer to get over someone you see all the time because the unrealistic dreams and hopes keep getting stoked.
