1. Song Takes Me Back
to the days I was convinced that my father was Archie Bunker, and he was convinced I was The Meathead.

10. It's on my mind because they're being rebroadcast on "Prime" in Canada
Obviously, they're terribly dated, from a production standpoint, and in many of the cultural references, but WOW, what an intelligent, funny, and intuitive show it was. Last night was a double-header:

Archie's brother returns with his dad's watch,

"Shoebooty"

So good. And I can't wait to see the ones with Beverley LaSalle, and the one where the Bunkers are mistakenly targeted by antisemites, or the one where Archie fingers the Mafia, or the one where Edith beats the rapist.

My favourite one is the Thanksgiving Dinner episode where Archie's old war buddy comes for dinner, and he and Meathead have that great talk about war. I wish I could remember the name of that actor; he also played Billy Pilgrim's doomed friend in "Slaughterhouse 5".

18. No, not Lazzaro... it was:
Edgar Derby, the POW who was shot for looting in the ruins of Dresden (in the book, he took a teapot...in the movie it was a figurine exactly like one he had at home).

22. Eugene Roche.
Had to look it up. He was a very talented character actor. Died this year, coincidentally.
