4. I'm going to show my age here,
(60) but I remember in the early to mid 50's there was a TV show called Truesdale Playhouse, and it's theme song was Greensleeves. Anyone else remember this ? It seems like it was on during the day if that is possible. We only got CBS and ABC for most of those years. NBC didn't come in the picture for us until around 1960 I believe.

10. Ben Jonson?
He of the upright burial? Or maybe he's a little too late, since he's friends with Will Shakspere

5. Greensleeves
Alas, my love you do me wrong
To cast me off discourteously
And I have loved you so long
Delighting in your company

Chorus
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight
Greensleeves was my heart of gold
And who but my Lady Greensleeves.

I have been ready at your hand
to grant whatever you would crave;
I have both wagered life and land
Your love and good will for to have

Chorus

I bought the kerchers to thy head
That were wrought fine and gallantly
I kept thee both at board and bed
Which cost my purse well favouredly.

Chorus

Greensleeves, now farewell! adieu!
God I pray to prosper thee;
For I am still thy lover true
Come once again and love me.

Chorus

7. I saw a Hagar the Horrible cartoon where his son asked him
What is heartache?
Hagar (while thumping his chest), "It's a sour, burning sensation in the pit of your stomach."
Helga That's heartburn!
Harar Whatever (as sips on a beer.

I remember singing this one in grade school.....you don't want to hear me sing. :)
However maybe you'ld like to hear Loreena McKennitt sing.

11. Was modified for use in magnificent "How the West Was Won"
"Away, away, come away with me
Where the air is clean and the grass is green
Away, away, come away with me
and I'll build you a home in the valley"

also, from Handel's "Messiah"

"What child is this, who laid to rest
On Mary's lap is sleeping
Whom Angels greet, with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping"

A classic tune for all time...
