1. I agree. I felt drained when it was over.

But I thought it was excellent. The book was good, too!

4. she was up for an academy award for that role in 2003
but Renee Zelwiger (sp?) won for Cold Mountain(which I liked also).

I knew how it would end because I read the book but I still got all bothered by it. Still a damn good movie though.

3. I had no idea what it was about
when I turned that one on. You just knew where it was going and it hurt to watch it happen. Still, well done movie.

5. Great movie, but very sad
I felt very despondent after watching it. I really liked that Ben Kingsley's character was so nuanced. And his wife should have won the academy award.

6. My sister's in-laws are from Iran and the mother reminded me so much
of her.

7. i liked how she was so kind to that girl who used to own the house
when she cut her foot and when she tried to kill herself. she is beautiful woman. the cop who befriended the girl was an asshole, i thought.

8. he was a total dick, glad to see the orange jump suit on him
the part that made me cry the most was when they were sitting on the roof deck after she had been drinking the tea and just said "I'm tired" and you knew that was it for her.
