I need help purchasing a new bios chip

I'm sitting with a AMIBIOS chip in my hand and I need to replace it. It's American Megatrends 686-P2 1997

I tried to flash it and totally corrupted it. The last time the thing was flashed was 1995. I simply needed to update it. Anyway...If someone can point me to a shop that seels them I'd be most grateful.

1. 1995? Any reason why you don't just replace the motherboard?

I just found a guy on ebay who charges 7 bucks to fix corrupted Bios chips... I'll use him...Thanks

I once corrupted my BIOS and was able to restore to an earlier version. I had to remove ALL devices from the motherboard leaving only the floppy disk and monitor connected. There was enough functional BIOS left that it was able to boot to the floppy and automatically execute the BIOS install disk.

I was sweating bullets all the way.
