3. I will try to come up with something for him

I am the most vocal when it comes to the ant-shrub stuff, so I guess I made some kind of impression. There are 4 of us in my dept. and the other two guys are part of the "moral majority". They both think that georgie is going to stop abortion..lol. The guy who gave me this was up in the air until he saw a story about how shitty are men and women are being treated after they return from Iraq. He said there is no way he was going to vote for bush after that.

.. but why should two MEN in your department be excited that Bush plans to 'stop abortion' ?? Have they dealt with an unwanted pregnancy lately ? You might want to ask them WTF business is it of theirs whether or not a WOMAN has that choice.

8. Oh trust me

I have had some words with them. The one isn't so bad. He is my supervisor and he has a bit more of an open mind. As for the other one..I almost refuse to talk to him about anything. We could be talking about a cheeseburger and somehow he brings his anti-choice bullshit in to the conversation.
He believes that the bible tells him that he has to speak out against the killing of "innocent children". Funny thing is...he didn't really see a problem with the "war" in Iraq.

5. How thoughtful

I've been out of work on a surgical leave for nearly a year but the other day, I was in my store and the girl who shares my office gave me a little ceramic container with a Santa on it filled with Hershey's kisses. I thought it was so sweet of her, especially since I've not been there for so long. We're work friends but have never socialized outside of there. It made me feel very good.

7. Yeah..it was cool to be thought of

To be honest...I get a lot of things from people just because. Sometimes I don't understand it because although I can be an ok guy, I don't go out and get things for people. My house is filled with gifts from people that they have given me just because they thought I would like it.
Maybe people feel sorry for me because I am still single..LOL..j/k. Truth be told, I have a lot of wonderful people in my life. I have always made it a point to try to keep positive and funny people around.
It must have felt really good when that girl gave you that gift. Sometimes when this world seems to be filled with so many idiots, it's nice to have our faith in each other restored a little bit. :hi:
