Hey, I got a F*** YOU! in a meeting today!
Does that make me a bad person?

Well, a little context: this other engineer had been failing to defend his position very well for the past several weeks. In a design review, he tried to skip over an outstanding "action item" which spoke to the issue, and I said "whoa, wait a second there..." and there was then a very interesting debate for 15 minutes - with basically three of us making a very simple and clear case. So he says, "well the prototype is already built, so..." and I said "that doesn't matter in the least...", a which point I got the FU.

The guy is very stubborn. So am I, but not like this clown...

2. Different Business - Different Reaction
I once called the Director of my school an a-hole. The blood drained out of his face; his eyes bugged out and he tried to get the Dean to fire me. Fortunately, I have tenure, he didn't, and the Dean was an old dairy farmer. He couldn't see the big deal about calling somebody an a-hole either.

3. Thin skin!
I've worked with folks that just can handle the truth when it involves them. The best is when the truth makes management squirm. And closer to the top the better.

5. I'm getting sick and tired of hearing this.
It seems like every day somebody tells me about an incident where they were told to "Fuck Off".
I've been mean and nasty but do I get a "Fuck Off"?? Noooooooo.....

I wish just one time I could get one but something tells me it's just not meant to be...sigh....
