3. It wasn't a dem, it was Senator Hagel
Who is all right for a republican, he told the group I was with that he would vote against a gay marriage ban, and he really was critical of Rummy for what Rummy did to that soldier.

9. Hagel isn't too bad...for a Republican United States Senator.
Which isn't saying one hell of a lot these days.

Glad to hear that he will vote against the anti-gay Federal Marriage Amendment...which I presume is what he's talking about. Very damn few Republicans are against it.

14. Yeah the FMA
I was surprised to hear that myself, pleased and surprised. Yeah, he's not too bad for a republican US senator which as you said isn't saying much these days.

17. If you wanna know the truth
I like him, wouldn't vote for him but he seems like a good enough guy, I found out that he was against pushing the intel reform that Rove wanted to be passed by the election.

19. I didn't vote for him, but
I managed to convince numerous Repubs to do so. His opponent in the primary (when he ran the first time)was a total right-wing nutjob.

20. I read that
Really, a republican who isn't a foaming at the mouth jerk, I tell you this from what I saw today, I would rather him than either of my republican senators. There's a reason why I had more of a desire to meet him than my republican classmate.

12. d'oh, no I didnt
I don't see him being popular with republican primary voters if he actually wants to reach out to disinfected allies and opposing the gay marriage ban amendment.
