Babylon 5/BFEE parallels

I didn't even realize it today at first, but I was talking about Clark being president, and when I said "President Clark" out loud, it clicked in my head about the corrupt President Of Earth on Babylon 5 being named President Clark. At first I was like "Hey, cool" and then I started thinking about how much my dad loved Babylon 5, and I got all down.

Anyway, there's a great thing on Atrios/Eschaton about the parallels. I particularly liked this breakdown:

GOP - Earth Force Alliance(not evil, just misguided)
John Ashcroft/Justice Dept. - Bester/Psy Corp

Clark = Bush

Garibaldi had way more inner demons (i.e. alcohol issues, past loves) than Al Gore. Other than that, interesting analogy.
