Browser check for my website please..
It works fine with Mozilla on OS 9 but won't display with IE on a Mac. The source loads but it won't display anything (I think a CSS problem and I also use PNG's). So if anyone would be willing to try it out with other browsers on other operating systems and report back that would be cool.

It is a site for song lyrics I made since all the other ones I have found suck. I haven't put much in the database since getting it to work first was a challenge.

If you click on the A and select At the drive-in you should get a feel for how it works. Any suggestions on making it more user friendly would be appreciated. And if you click on the Album name with the black arrow you can view all lyrics for that album as they show up on the CD.

Oh and the entire thing is database driven. Powered by PHP and mysql. So the entire site is only made up with nine files. But it could generate millions of different pages. I thought that was really cool. Better then making thousands of different html files. Also, my hosting company serves pages slowly..FWIW..

Oh, and I still have lots of bugs to capture in a cup and move outside.

3. Odd
I was expecting problems with IE.

I didn't expect any problems with any Gecko or KHTML browsers.

Fucking' weird.

And thanks a bunch.

2. Blank page here, also
I'm using AOL, but I'll switch to Internet Explorer and see what I get. Also, I can try again when I get to the office where I have a Mac with OS 10 with either Safari or Internet Explorer.

8. It works now..
IE just kicks the crap out of my CSS file.

And I thought Safari and FireFox on a Mac would work. I thought IE 6 on Windows would be the problem.

11. From WinXP/Netscape 7.1
a. Your "bugs to fix" (notes?) display on your index page.
b. The lyrics/text isn't formatted in any way. (Rather confusing...is that how you wanted lyrics displayed?)

Good luck on tweaking the site. Ask again further down the road and I'll be glad to help.

12. I get confused..
The bugs to fix is there so I actually fix them. I need a reminder.

No, I want line breaks. I have them in the database with breaks. I just don't know how to display them with line breaks. I was thinking of finding a way to exchange the \n with <br> in the data mysql spits out.

If you look at the html it has line breaks. The question is how to get that in the final output. If that makes any sense.

13. might need debugging for Opera users
Edited on Wed Dec-15-04 08:22 AM by McKenzie
I'm on V5 - might display ok with recent versions. Could be that the problem is partly with my version of Opera though - early versions were not always in accordance with W3C standards.
