1. nooooooooooooooooo
Reagan would still be president, his coffin propped up in the Oval Office.
The only change I would consider is a single six year presidency.

11. I've thought of this as well,
though the idea of six years under this administration is rather terrifying. Otherwise it does away with the continual politicking of the first term president and the dwindling influence of the second termer.

12. 6 is better than 8
Regardless, the prospect of any particular president serving without limit is disconcerting. Whoever supporters of the repeal have in mind, it opens up the possibility of our worst nightmare, Bush for example, as president for forty years.

appropriate if the two ran. Unfortunately, I can't find it.

It had a pict of Clinton (Make LOVE) and a pict of BUSH (NOT WAR).

Who would win?

4. Not sure that will work
For one, Kerry got more votes than Clinton or any democrat ever and Bush got more votes than anyone ever, I'm not sure Clinton redux is going to do us any good.

How about we just have one standard for counting votes, and no machines that can't be tampered with, and actual fair elections?

5. Begala is Frustrating
I have to give him some credit because I would not be able to control myself on Crossfire. I know I would end up reaching across the table and bitch slapping Bob Novak so hard that Tucker Carlson would start crying.

8. Reason for limits is still valid--our tendency to fascism
made all to clear by a Bush building a cult of personality. No, thanks.

9. I do -- completely!!!

<Note: I pasted this from one of my earlier posts in another thread>

I've always been against term limits -- but that is for another post. If Repukes really believe that Bush is the second coming, let them put their money where there mouth is.

It sickens me to hear good liberals and progressives say things like "At least Bush can't run again." I don't want him going out in 2008 on his own free will -- I want another crack at him. To beat him so badly that no amount of fraud in the world could cover it up.

Plus, we have the best candidate out there -- it simply goes against every shred of democracy to prevent him from running.

So here it is -- I'm throwing down the gauntlet. The media loves all-star games, so let them get on board.

Big Dog vs. Shrub in 2008 -- that would be like Xmas every day of the year!

On Edit: I realize that my "gauntlet" amounts to jack squat, but it was fun to dream.
