Watched 8 Simple Rules tonight (John Ritters last three episodes)

began airing tonight--three weeks of shows with John Ritter. I had never really watched 8 Simple Rules before except maybe a glance here and there, but I loved Ritter as Jack Tripper on "Three's Company" and think he was a good actor in serious roles as well like "Sling Blade", so I decided I would check it out. Hate to say it, but that show is really (imo) bad--the jokes aren't funny--just a badly written show.

Too bad that John Ritter couldn't have better material for his final project. Still I'm sure it garned good ratings.

1. Trite plot

"Did I get my 50 year old wife pregnant?" was the subject, with the usual gags coming from the kids, who were otherwise busy wondering if they were still cool according to an internet site...

Not the most original ideas. Seems very typical.

2. I hate sitcoms

But I also had to see this because of John Ritter. Sadly, I couldn't keep watching. It was that bad.
RIP John. We won't forget the good stuff you did.
