So I went to one of those "cafes" in Amsterdam

and got served with the strongest frikkin' stuff ever. I smoked about a third of the joint and my heart started pounding at something like 160 + - I seriously thought I might die in there. Anyway, I figured if I was going to die, then I ought to get back to the hotel and do it there, so I managed to navigate my way back and lay there for 2 hours hoping my heart was going to slow down. (I worked on a cardiac floor in a hospital, so I was freaking out about what was happening). Anyway, it finally did, but I was seriously worried for a while.

It wasn't a good experience for me, but I did love Amsterdam and I appreciate the fact that you can go in these cafes and smoke marijuana without any hassle.

Amsterdam is a really great city and I strongly recommend going there at least once in your life.

It's a real eye-opener to go to a place that serves it by variety name, almost like a brand name. I had some Orange Widow when I visited there, which literally had me full-blown hallucinating within 10 minutes.
