Can I own and ride a mule in a major city?

6. I've seen horses in Houston...not sure about mules tho...

...but this is Houston....go figure.


But also, once on that show "Insomniac" (on Comedy Central), they had on some guys from NYC who would ride around the city on horses at night.

I don't see why a mule would be any different.

guess it's ok in London ... so long as the mule has a registration plate stapled to it's "ass" for the inner city toll camera !

§ 635.03 RIDING OR DRIVING PROHIBITED; EXCEPTION.
No person shall ride or drive any animal drawn conveyance on any street or sidewalk within the city, except such as the Superintendent of Police may permit in a parade or other special event, or except that the Director of the Department of Public Works may authorize horse drawn carriages on designated streets in the Central Business District at designated times.

Actually, this refers to "animal drawn conveyance", not riding one straight up. My hopes are still alive!

11. Was riding

(in the car) down Polk St a few weeks ago and some folks were riding horseback in the opposite direction. It was a Saturday and hardly any traffic. Don't know ... :shrug:
BTW - how do you make that squiggly "S" on the 'puter when citing a legal issue? Made such a citation for an assignment for paralegal class last week and just used a regular "S." Didn't affect my grade, but what I know about computers will just about fit in my little toenail.

You may be able to make it manually with "control, alt, -something else-", but I'd just copy and paste it into a word file for future use.
