4. I am owned by only two cats,
but I am nevertheless a crazy cat person because I can't think of many people I like more than those cats, whom I totally adore.

I can't remeber if it's the blue eyed Mexican one or the wild caat one...

18. Ocelots are small, spotted Central American wildcats.
They are very beautiful but probably don't make good pets. I hear they are a bit ornery.

5. I love Cats...
Other peoples cats =)
I used to own a few cats and I think thery are wonderful cute little critters...however...

I think it was Red Forman from That 70's Show who summed it up best, I dont remember the exact wording, but this should be pretty close...

"Best case scenario, you get the smartest cat in the world...it'll still crap on the rug"

So while I do think cats are cute and sometimes I miss having one around, my desire for a cat is outweighed by my desire for crap-free rugs.

16. Maybe mine were retarded.
I do live in Ohio, lot of that going around I hear.

You guys just reminded me of a little black kitten I had named Oliver.
When I'd be sleeping and he was probably only about 6-10 weeks old, if I made the mistake of leaving a foot hanging out from under the blanket, I'd be awakened by this tiny little black fluff ball gnawing on my toes like they were beef jerky, ears back, mouth wide open, lil eyes squinted. I'd be annoyed waking up and then I'd look down and it'd be so cute I'd just smile, and wouldn't have the heart to stop him, so I fall back to sleep....wake up an hour later....

This was also a cat who loved having his belly scratched so much, that if you looked at the cat as if you were ABOUT to pet him, he would just colapse onto his back with his paws in the air.

11. Total of, er, hang on...
Five cats indoors (lost one over TG week), and various and sundry relatives have taken post on the patio. Last time I checked, (rummage), um, 8, including the kittens.

And cats do not have owners. Cats have staff. :D

13. Currently the count is 4.
Number subject to change without notice. I am not actively looking for new additions but they do seem to find me.

It was 5 but I found the rightful owner of the little girl kitten I dug out of my woodpile the first part of November.

I don't think of myself as a crazy cat person, I prefer cat magnet.

20. I love cats
I have 2 now - had up to 4 at one time. I'd like more, but 2 is enough being I also have a dog.

Mark Twain was a great lover of cats btw. He used to rent cats when he went on vacation. He couldn't stand to be away from them.

I've had cats my whole life and couldn't imagine life without them. I think the cat is the ultimate incarnation! :D

My motto: Cats not kids!

25. I am owned by six inside cats and one outside cat...
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 11:58 PM by Confound W
...who will probably be an inside cat before long.
They make me take them in. They control me!

Those Cats! The whole lot of them are bad, but they allow me to live with them. If I'm nice and all.

27. Currently have 4..three brothers and the old guy
Thomas: 11 years old, half Siamese. The old guy.

CatZilla: 18 months old, grey

Lewis: 18 months old, grey

Clark: 18 months old, black; very black

The younger boys are very devoted to one another, grooming each other and sleeping together. Thomas is quite tolerant of them but he does not get into their group sleeping and bathing.

Before their little sister Moo left us (she got tired of her much larger brothers picking on her, we presume), she was madly in love with Thomas and would follow him around the house like a lovesick 13 yr old girl. He would let her get close to him and even groom him from time to time.

I can't post photos of them today because I am on the wrong computer.

28. Two black cats and counting...
Alexander, the 18 year old went outside last Saturday, and did not come back until Tue. afternoon. We thought we had seen the last of him, as he is rather frail these days, and we were sure that, given his penchant for dignity, he had gone off to expire in his favorite setting, the great outdoors.
Now, Jello Biafra, the younger (8) of the two black kittys, apparently has no problem being an "only cat". We suspect he may have locked Alex in one of the builders' trailers or some such thing.
During the absence of the senior feline, Jello temporarily inherited the title of "Le Gran Fromage", but much to his chagrin, it was rescinded upon the return of the elder cat.
