4. i am still up and new here.. but hopping mad
i just saw that there were 63 fake drivers licenses in 11 states issued to the 9-11 hijackers. i don't really give a whip, except for the fact that my husband doesn't have a license because it expired!!! Been driving all his life, grew up in Illinois and Michigan .. let his license expire here in NYC and he can't get one without going through some 600$ "training" course. He is a minister, btw.

3. It's getting to be a habit
I sleep until 2:30, then roam the house trying to be quite so everyone else can sleep. Four hours of sleep a day seems to be all I can handle. I've moved furniture, decorated three small trees, read the newspaper (which hasn't even arrived at our house yet) and am still looking for something to do. I think I'll go start the laundry.

9. 1:30 a.m. here.
For waking up, that is. That seems to be my normal time.

I average about five hours of sleep, these days, but it seems to work out okay.

I have baked tons of Christmas cookies in the dead of the night. I am way ahead of the game on all the Christmas preparations here.

7. Moi. Don't ask me why.
Well, maybe I should start a thread: "I don't know why I'm still up. Ask me anything." :)

10. Me..
Fighting PHP to pass a variable to a fucking MySQL select query. I know it is something so fucking stupid too. A few hours wasted for a misplaced fucking semicolon.

Fighting the good fight..

18. I yam, yam!
I slept half the day yesterday, so that's way too much ZZZZs for me. I'm waiting for the library to open at 7:45 am so that I can get started on my paper. ARRRRRGH. When will the fucking finals STOP?

20. I just woke up
at my usual on week days which is 5:10. My mother is staying with me. She is still sound asleep in the guest bedroom, even though the cats are stirring and meowing around because I'm up.

Last night I fell asleep on the recliner sofa in front of the T.V. early. I swear, that recliner is more comfortable than my bed so I sleep half the night there.

22. Trying to wind down.
Worked the evening shift at the hospital. Tonight was HARROWING. I will not betray the confidence of patients, but believe you me, I saw people fighting to live tonight. Some things I saw - so graphic - made me the closest I've ever wanted to throw up. I didn't because I told myself over and over again I would not let myself - not in front of the patient.
I finished the evening shift at 11:30, changed my clothes and headed to a nearby club where a classmate of mine was celebrating her 30th birthday. Other classmates were there - we're all stressed out because we have a hairy final on Monday. So, we were all imbibing...
I am at home now, trying to head to sleep.
I am conflicted with the idea that I see that people face SERIOUS life-threatening situations - many so painfully undeserving of such suffering, yet so many live lives of superficiality, undeserving of their prosperity.
I have yet to reconcile that with the idea of a loving god. Somebody show me the proof.
