New Personal Best....26 miles in 2 Hours 4 Minutes...
Edited on Sun Sep-21-03 10:31 PM by BiggJawn
And one of my arch-enemies, "Hickory Ridge Hill" (15%+ grade) Fell to my 27X1 1/4's today...Saw the Heart Rate Monitor hit 183 during the climb, another new mark...

Oh, from all the "Car" responses I'm getting, guess I should've mentioned that was on my BICYCLE?

1. Congrats! I did that once...
...in my car!

And if you saw my car, you'd be impressed!

2. DAMN
That's insane.
And FYI, my resting heartrate is usually in the 90's- but I always have low blood pressure. Most bizzare. I cannot imagine what 180 feels like...

6. 180 feels like your lungs are gonna explode.
I wanted more air, and couldn't get it. And my flow rate is in excess of 800 liters per minute already.

When I got back to level ground, I recovered to 140 fairly quickly.

8. Good Job!
I just did a 35 miler but I'm too old (65) to time it any more. Do you have a hard time finding 27 inch tires?

9. Good ride if you didn't have to use a calender to time it!
That's the way I look at it. I'm not that much younger than you, Bill, I'm 46...

Bontrager makes 27" tyres, and so does Specialized and Cheng shin (you find those at K-mart, Target, etc)
I think my local shop has some by Conti and Michelin, too.

10. I was gonna make a car joke, too.
But your edit (it must have been an edit) busted me.

That's impressive, and not something I'm able to do, sadly. I'm way out of shape.
