The sky that morning was so blue it was unbelivable. I remember people mentioning what a beautiful day it was. Crip clear fall day.

While I didn't put WTC Guy in other places, I did Photoshop an entire "slideshow" of other "cultural icons" in WTC Guy's place.

Don't ask me why -- it just sort of exorcised some of the horror out of my system.

If anyone wants to see them, I'll put them back up on my server. In the meantime, I did this not too long ago...

12. No, not real

That's looking at the towers from the south, and the plane hit from the north (I'm pretty sure).

But, more importantly, 9-11 was an utterly gorgeous, cloud free day. So, no matter what direction the plane came in from, there is no way in hell this is a Sept. 11 photo.

It's also the wrong time of day - the left sides of the buildings should all be dark, since the sun would have beenb over to the right, since it was morning.

15. Don't know if it's a fake photo or not,

but it definitely was not taken on September 11, 2001. Bunny is right - the weather was blue skies and brilliant sunshine - what pilots call "severe clear". I was home that morning - in fact my building at the time is one of those pictured here. Strange/sad/creepy to see this pic.

New York skies prior to 9/11 were full of jets. Could easily be a pic someone took with the plane in the background, thinking it was funny that it looks like the plane was going to hit.

Little did they know.

Flying around right before the second plane hit the twin towers. After that we couldn't find them on the Internet and people remember seeing them.
