INTERESTING CHAT I HAD WITH A RUSSIAN LADY TODAY

I was chatting with a Russian Lady at the hair dressers today and she told me that the US is worse then Russia when Stalin was in charge.

She said that our TV & Newspapers are more then propaganda tools and that they are using them to brainwash people into thinking the way that they want them to think.

She said that she wouldn't doubt it if we had concentration camps in the USA for people who aren't conforming to the Right Wing party.

She has been home recently to Russia and she said that we are not getting the news that the rest of the world is getting.

She said that they showed pictures of tons of American Soldiers being torn apart and dead. She also said that we have flattened out most of Iraq and the jokes about a making it a parking lot are not jokes and that they are the truth.

She also mentioned that thousands upon thousands of Iraqis are dead and they don't want us to know this.

She went to London, Paris, Germany and several other countries and people in other countries are getting different information about the Bush Crime Cabal and they know more then we do about 9/11. She said they have been shown proof in other countries that our own government was involved in bringing the bldgs. down.

She also said that Bush Jr did not go to Europe when they said that he did and it was a bunch of bull shit.

They show proof of this in every country except ours and they think that he is a Dumb Jerk.

They talk about voting fraud and the works on TV in Europe but we don't have a media anymore and everyone knows this in Europe and all over the world.

She said that what we are living through right now is much worse then any country that has had a Dictator has been.

She said that people do not believe that Bush believes in God and that he is the devils spawn.

WE NEED COPIES OF FOREIGN NEWSPAPERS POSTED EACH DAY SO THAT ALL OF US CAN READ ABOUT THE BUSH CRIME CABAL AND WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES THINK ABOUT HIM AND KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON.

I was talking to a Russian beekeeper yesterday, at my job, who saw my Dean button and started warming up to talking about politics.

He said in his thick Russian accent that he thought Dean could beat this bush who is bad for our Country! :-)

3. I love Russians

They have lived through hard times and have witnessed allot.

She said that socialism was not a bad thing and at least everyone had a place to live, food on the table, clothing, utilities, health care, etc.

She also said that Russia regulates Doctors salaries and that they go into medicine to help people and not to get rich unlike American Doctors and I have to agree with her on that.

I lived in Russia for 1.5 years and met lots of natives. I understand the country (well, as much as it _can_ be understood, lol.)

Regulation of doctor salaries means that the smartest people don't become doctors. The smartest people become sleazy "biznessmen", because that's the only way to make $. Under communism, the man who mopped the floor of the hospital made the same amount as the man who cut into your child. This meant that many doctors came to work drunk every day. Hell, they weren't treated any differently in terms of pay if they were drunk or sober; they might as well enjoy their work! (this goes into other fields... I saw a man driving a back hoe flip the whole thing over into a stream because he was working while drunk off his ass!)

The only way to get decent medical care over there was to either bribe everyone at every level of hospital management, or to go out of country for procedures. When I lived there, I had a bad infection, so I went to Poland for medical care. I was lucky to have that option.

As expensive and unjust as medical care over here is, I'd much rather live here if I had a serious condition than there.

I just wished they would go into medicine because they want to and not to get rich.
I would say 10% go into medicine now because they want to heal people and the other 90% want to get rich.

I think she wanted an ear to talk to, a lot of this would be verifiable if it were true.

If footage that explosive were available, the links to the websites of those news stations would have already made it across the pond.

Some bits and pieces are true and we need to read more newspapers from other countries. Well, not the ones that Murdoch owns.

A German friend of mine on a mailing list gave us this ages ago, I visit the link now and again. I'll be honest, though -- I don't think the German media is especially concerned with Dim Son and his thugs (though I think Germans generally get the idea that he is dim and the administration are thugs) unless it's something directly related to Europe -- Europe has a life of its own that isn't always linked to ours.

I wouldn't go so far as to say my Internet friend's regular news outlets (he actually lives in a small town outside Munich) are as dramatically different from ours as the person you met, Corarose, but there's definitely a great deal more skepticism about anything that comes out of the U.S. from any U.S.-based or Murdoch-based news medium. They feel the same way about our news that they do news coming out of Berlusconi's Italy -- it spins so fast it sticks to the sides.

They definitely get a more rounded version of things of which we, if we don't go out of our way, get only one side.

8. I wanted to talk to her so bad but my teeth are missing this week

She talked about health care and everything and she was in her 50's and she remembered what it was like with a Dictator.
I had a coupon to a nice salon on Oak Street in Chicago for a free hair coloring if I got my hair cut by them and I went for it.

Mind you my hair came out looking like a bad Halloween wig. Everyone at home said it looked good and the doorman didn't want to let me in earlier today because he said that he didn't recognize me at all.

I had to have a pick me up since the removal of my teeth and I am not that old and I feel like I look 60.

Boy, I would have loved to have talked to her for hours.

Russians are interesting people.
