I believe I got a case of food poisoning (or the worst stomach flu EVER). I started feeling bad Saturday morning and still am not 100% but I have to go to work tomorrow. Even if I could stay home, I have finished all my library books, there is never anything on tv and I am really sick and tired of my cats fighting all day.
At least I am doing good on my diet. I have hardly eaten since Saturday morning and still don't want anything.
I have had food poisoning once before for sure and it was way worse than this. I hate how long it lingers though. I feel like I will never be back to my regular self even though I will.
Thanks for listening. Just had to gripe.
PS I am blaming the grilled chicken sandwich I had from Whataburger on Friday.
I remember when the beef assoc sued Oprah for a guest saying that beef was bad for you. What a bunch of asses!!
Actually I am blaming them because that is all I can trace it too. I had cooked Thursday night but I use a thermometer when I cook meat so I know it was done and there was no chance of cross contamination. I am very careful when I cook. And the only other thing I ate Friday was some toast and some canned soup.
but as a self appointed meat protector (sounds like a good subject line for the lounge, doesn't it?) Lots food poisonings ACTUALLY come from fruits and veggies - so it might have been the dirty lettuce on you whatachicken or whatever they call it.
Hope you feel better soon - if you have been losing a lot of fluids (from either end) and not drinking you are also dehydrated along with the other effects of illness - drink some gatorade or have some broth and a bit of flat soda. Try to sip water constantly.
Usually stomach viruses don't hang on that long. Try to take some chicken (or vegetable) broth with some sodium in it so you can rebalance your electrolytes after being dehydrated.
I got food poisoned back in September and it took me a week or so to feel back to normal again. Take care of yourself.
