16. 49er Fans Have changed

I'm a lifelong Rams fan and have been living in the bay area for over 10 years. I never miss the Rams in Candlestick.

For the first several years, 49er fans just kind of smugly laughed at me. I was just a harmless retard in a blue and yellow jersey as the 49ers beat the Rams something like 17 times in a row.

Then came 1999. I was the one laughing. At least for three years. 49er fans kind of kept quiet and out of my way.

THEN comes last year. The Rams had lost 3 in a row and the 49ers were looking pretty good. Completely different story. After constant (and unprecedented) bombardment of "fuck yous" walking to the stadium, I go to the ATM. A beautiful woman walks up to me and screams in my face "fuck you - the Rams fucking suck - you motherfucker - kiss my fucking ass". We go to our seats and are hailed by ice and countless F-bombs. And we caught our fair share of shit on the walk back to the car.

Not that it really bothered me. It was kind of cool seeing some 49er passion for once. I'll just wear my Rams helmet this year. And with Bulger in there, I'll be laughing again.
