OK, I'm slightly annoyed.

So I started a blog after the election. Mainly, just for me to write down what I was thinking about etc. I have the link in my sig line but I thought the only person who actually reads it is my sister. (Who joined DU today, BTW).

So, I put a site tracker on my blog to see if anyone was really looking at it. Lo and behold, I have all of these hits today. I clicked on the referring link, http://nickrichter.blogspot.com/ and it is the blog of some random guy who called me completely insane and said something about teaching his kids about gay sex etc.

Oh yeah, he also linked my blog to a pic of Charles Manson. WTF buddy??? So I guess I don't know whether to be annoyed, email him, blow him off, put a new post on my blog to his visitors or what? :mad:

Do you guys have any suggestions for me? I'm so new to blogging, so for all I know this kind of thing happens a lot! :shrug:

1. hmm how about you simply ignore him?

You'll be amazed at all the idiots there is out there. The older your blog is, the more chances you'll get adverse reactions. In the end you won't be able to keep track of everybody. But you could respond on your blog with an entry to his, if you really want to "play".

It gets tiring (by experience) and you could get in a flame war. So only do it if you have the energy for it lol

Otherwise just let it go. Don't validate him more than he wishes.

I was going to link to a picture of a closet referring to him in my next post (like he did with hitler), but like Scrooge said, he'll probably just get off on that. What a jerk though. I honestly write it like it's me an my sister reading it. I never expected creepy homophobes. :shrug:

I googled my name and found it on a RW blog today...I'm famous everybody!

The funniest part was, he copied a post that my mother had made under MY name (there's only one computer in the house, and we slip up and use each other's screennames all the time). So, I didn't even do any work, and I still get attention from the poor little freepers.
