1. Dogs think they're human, cats think they're god.
Heard that somewhere...nice pic you found!

cats were worshipped as gods, and they have never forgotten.

3. Sorta true.
My boy (declawed, neutered) beat the crap out of a neighborhood stray today; the stray had to climb a tree to get away. Walky can't climb trees; he was declawed SEVEN YEARS AGO.

His balls and claws are gone; his vicious nature survives.

THAT'S MY BOY!

7. Cats vs. dogs:
A dog looks at its owner and thinks: "He loves me and feeds me and pets me and takes care of me. He must be God." A cat looks at its owner and thinks: "He loves me and feeds me and pets me and takes care of me. I must be God."

8. The Tiger on your Couch
That's the title of a book on cat behavior, written by an actual tiger trainer (in zoos, not circuses) and his wife. They observe how the big cats behave, and the tricks they have to use to get a 1000 lb nine foot long predator to chill out, and then observe how similar they are to domestic cats.

I know that when my cat's perched on top of the refrigerator, he sees himself as a puma waiting for a chance to get a jump on a tasty young antelope. But a can of chicken will do, usually.

9. I once saw a couple of house cats chasing a white-tailed deer.
I suppose they were thinking something like, "If we pull this off we'll eat like kings!" And the deer seemed to be taking them seriously; at least, it was running away from them. I wonder what they would have done if they'd actually caught up with the deer? It was pretty funny to watch.

10. I met one of those
A young one on an island while kayaking in the Florida keys. Really. Here's a pic. They were playing tag with her right before this and my husband got tagged "it" by her. Then she swam back to their boat. Beautiful animal, but I can't support keeping any wild animal like that as a "pet".
