Time In For Families, or TIFF, if you will
NBC just did a story on an organization that encourages families to have dinner together. Their name - Time In For Families or TIFF, which is what you get when my family dines together.

I hope they invite Frank Palacios to their next meeting.

WORCESTER, Mass. --A Thanksgiving dinner turned violent when a man with a history of mental illness allegedly stabbed two relatives with a carving knife after they criticized his table manners.

Police said the fight broke out Thursday when the relatives reprimanded Frank Palacios for picking at the turkey with his fingers, instead of slicing off pieces with a knife.

Palacios then stabbed 18-year-old cousin Gonzalo Ocasio Jr. in the chest, back and right side, authorities said. His father, Gonzalo Ocasio, 49, suffered a stab wound in his arm. Both men are expected to survive.

Palacios, 24, was arraigned Friday on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, among other assault charges.

1. Oh, god. I shouldn't have laughed at this...
But clearly, his table manners were terrible. You are supposed to save the stabbings until after the pie.:D

2. And yet they vote repuke; and repukes do their damndest to ensure:
* People don't get overtime pay
* Both parents have to work, creating latch key kids
* people work harder for less, making them more tired and less wanting to be with their families
* unable to pay for babysitters when needed, which makes shopping that much mroe of a chore, especially when that corporate toy garbage gets all the kids hyper.

How much further need I go? How come many Republicans, otherwise damn decent people, choose this dichotomy? They are right on supporting families (though gay families are okay too) yet the business element is stabbing them in the back.
