Trying to egosurf my last name hits a wall fairly fast. It seems that my last name is the same as the romance language offical title of a certan resident of an autonomous country located within Rome, Italy. Yup, Del Papa translates directly as "The Pope", so a search gets me all these articles in a language I can barely puzzle out, talking about what he had for breakfast, and who kissed his ring that afternoon.

(No, I don't mean the current video compression format, I mean the pay-per-view DVD system that Circuit City tried to foist on consumers back in 1998-99.)

Anyway, most of my Google results are pretty innocuous -- mostly posts from here or other sites where I use that name. However, back in the early days of DVD, I was one of the more outspoken members of the anti-DIVX contingent on e-town and other such sites. Thus, I was surprised to find http://forums.dvdfile.com/interactive/forum/printthread.php?t=9907 among the results -- apparently, the thread contains a leaked "enemies list" compiled by someone at Circuit City, "to target people that they considered the most troublesome" on the various DVD websites. I was listed at number 33 out of 42.
