Finally off the clock and finished work

I worked at home today, otherwise I would have spent most of the day on the road.

2. Three more hours to go

All is quiet. Commissioner Garamendi not in, Chief Deputy is in Washington state, Deputy is home in the Bay Area and my chief is on vacation. Most of my staff are taking a 5-day weekend so no work is being generated for me to review and approve. Yay.

I'm looking out my 13th floor window at I-5 and it's been moving slowly since about 10:00 this morning. Looks like I'll drive 16 miles of surface streets to get home once again. I won't have a G&T, Diet Coke and Vitamin V is more to my liking. And then I 'll direct all of my attention to my wife and babies (22,16,12) until that alarm goes off at 5:05 Monday morning.
