1. i first thought of robbie robertson when i saw your thread

but u2 would have been next. i know its not what youre referencing but "war" is just an amazing album. they used to really break out the truth and the fight

i have all their albums through joshua tree but war and october stand out

hope youre doing ok.. im interested in that since you sound like youre in some pain. i didnt mean to take what you said and turn it into a discussion of what music i like.

i share that connection to the pain and passion of what their music was

this was one of the weirder threads I have started. Just song lyrics in my head and then saw Bono.

That song is Bullet the Blue Sky btw off Joshua Tree (I believe). And there is a hypnotic quality to much of their music from that period.

have you heard the self titled robbie robertson album from 1987? also really good, and reminds me somewhat of the hypnotic quality you mentioned from joshua tree. u2 actually plays on the album a little but robbie has his own desert-based, native american themes which speak to me.
