I'm thankful. As disappointed as I am about the election outcome,

I have a lot to be grateful for:

>Excellent health
>A job doing something I enjoy and am good at
>My mother and sisters
>Friends that I can rely upon
>More stuff than I need and a place to keep it
>Food in the pantry and beer in the fridge
>Hot showers on cold mornings
>A couple of changes of underwear
>All of my hair and most of my teeth
>A drawer full of replacement batteries
>DU
I could go on but I'm beginning to bore myself.

I still have chills about the next four years, but

My wife, the only best friend I've ever had;
A good job, though stressful;
Close family and friends;
My Computer, my books, my TV and a great DVD collection;
Wonderful neighbors;
Food in the pantry;
Heat in the house;
A warm bed;
and DU.

For two weeks I've been looking at my babies and feel so scared for what they have in store. But I am so thankful I have them and they're so damn cute :) I think they picked up on my angst and I need to lighten up a little.

Since the election I've been knocking it back from the Self-Pity Bottle. It's important to remember the many good things in my life and the good fortune I've enjoyed.
