4. Advertising is strange
I was in a laundromat one day and happened to notice a box of hangers. Printed upon it was the company's name and motto - "a better hanger for every occasion." Which got me thinking - is it really considered an "occasion" when you use a hanger? And what makes theirs better? They looked like any hanger I've ever seen - metal, with a hook on top. Nothing exciting there.

You think about strange things in laundromats...

6. Ah, the Laundromat
Dead Milkmen - Laundromat Song
(1--2--1-2-1.2.3.4)
Soap and quarters and bleach and laundry
Are words I use at the laundromat
Reading the news, and watching the people
That's what I do at the laundromat
At the laundromat my heart grows fat
Ah Ah
As my clothes get dry I stop and sigh
Ah Ah
Dreaming -- Screaming
There's a girl washing her clothes
I'm in love but nobody knows
She looks sixteen or seventeen
My mind grows dirty when my clothes get clean
She's so young and tall
Ah Ah
I'm gonna give her my ALL (or BORAX)
Ah Ah
Dreaming -- Screaming
I'm not a subtle guy
I'll go to her and sigh
"If I don't see you again my love
I'll most surely die."
Dreaming -- Screaming
Clothes go round and round
And my heart goes up and down
She's drying her jeans
In separate machines
She's loading up her granny cart
Ah Ah
Goin out the door; it's breaking my heart
Ah Ah

10. I love the Dead Milkmen
Now I shall post Dead Milkmen lyrics

I hate myself - hate myself
And you - I hate you
I hate myself - hate myself
And you - I hate you
Roses are red and
Violets are blue
I hate me and
I hate you
I hate my life and I hate yours
I hate my life and I hate yours
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and end it all
Let's get together in a bathroom stall

I - I take drugs, I take drugs
And Glue - I sniff glue
I - I take drugs, I take drugs
And Glue - I sniff glue
Roses are red and
Violets are blue
I take drugs and
I sniff glue
I hate my life and I hate yours
I hate my life and I hate yours
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and slit our wrists
Let's get together and do the twist

I eat lye soap - eat lye soap
And stew and I eat stew, hello Stuart!
I eat lye soap - eat lye soap
And stew and I eat stew
Roses are red and
Violets are blue
I take eat soap and
I eat stew
I hate my life and I hate yours
I hate my life and I hate yours
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and make a pact
Let's get together and end it all
Let's get together in a bathroom stall

5. Seriously
That just means "book stores" as opposed to "the magazine rack at Wal-Mart"

7. Probably what they mean
They're the ones who carry their book. Sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy - if it's better, their book is there. If their book is there, it's better.
