4. Not at all.
But I would prefer the gruesome truth to first be shown in stark photographs like the ones online that somehow never reach the evening news or any mainstream media. Cartoons can be misconstrued as exaggeration, as relics of the op/ed section. Photos are much more difficult to explain away.

5. I've loved Steve Bell since the 80s
When he really socked it to Maggie Thatcher and her cabal. He has books of his cartoons from the Guardian, eg "Maggie's Farm" - they may be out of print, but we have about 4 of them and they are hilarious. He used to do a whole thing about sheep with a head at each end of their bodies because they lived around the nuclear processing site at Sellafield in the UK.
