2004 Blues
2004 Blues
To the tune of Summertime blues
(Eddy Cochran)

I'm a gonna raise a fuss, I'm a-gonna raise a holler
About a-votin' in november just a-trying to save the dollar
Every time I pulled the lever, to try to get it strait
The party boss says "No dice son your just to full of hate"
Some times I wonder what I'm a gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the 2004 Blues

Well my Mom and Pappa told me "Son you gotta vote for Kerry
If you wanna use the car to go a riding next Sunday"
Well I tried to pull the lever but the machine It was sick
"Now you can't use the car cause you didn't make it stick"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the 2004 Blues

It's gonna take two weeks for I have my vacation,
I'm gonna take my problem to the United Nations.
Well I told my congress man and he said, quote:
"I'd like to help you son but someone has stolen the vote"
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a gonna do,
But there ain't no cure for the 2004 Blues
