Tile & grout folks - I need you again.

We are in the finishing stages of the gutting and rehabbing our master bath. Whew. I was the tilemaster. I used matte finish, 8"x10" white tile, kinda the Italian feel. It is now time to seal the grout. The grout sealer says to use a mop (for floors I guess) or rag to wipe on the sealer. I kinda thought it was only the grout that needed sealing. Do I seal the face of the tile too? Will it make it shiny (don't want that)?

1. Only the grout needs sealing and it won't make the tile shiny

2. It will soak into the grout -- which needs sealing because it is porous,

and will wipe right off the tile, which is non-porous.

3. Remember...

You will have to reseal every few months. No tile sealer is forever.
