1. How could you NOT pick a Nick Saban coached team?!?!
I mean didn't you watch any of his teams' performances at Michigan State. My GOD they could beat ANYONE on a given week.

The next week was another story though.

3. It was tough to pick between USC and Michigan
they both look overly impressive this year, but in the end I came with Michigan. They just shut out Notre Dame.

4. ND, as usual, was way overrated.
Michigan and USC do look tough so far. I am not ready to say USC is the best in the nation though. The Auburn victory may turn out to be not much of an achievement.

FSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma are all unimpressive so far.

Miami has the curse of Evangel. Berlin will fall apart this year and Miami will go down with him.

I picked LSU beacuse I'm a homer, but I do think they are a dark horse candidate.

5. WHERE is the University of Texas?
Just because we had our asses waxed by an unranked team is NO reason to leave us out just yet! Wait at least until we have our asses waxed by Oklahoma, then I'll be able to accept that the season is over. :-)

Hook 'em!

6. Tough choices
My heart belongs to FSU.

I've always been partial to LSU...(since I was in 7th grade)

But then there's that offensive line of Michigan. (also one of my homeboys is a starter.) They are truly impressive.

Gotta bet on Michigan!

15. In Marshfield
Sten-o and my son were classmates. Played together from 7th grade to Soph year. My son went on in Track because he couldn't gain enough weight to play competitive as a tailback (came out of State Track meet in his Soph year at 130lbs) He would have been murdered on Varsity Football in this conference.

Sten-o was very talented right from the first day we saw him play...

He turned down Univ of Wisconsin, and I think, Purdue.

10. It's the Pac 10's turn.
USC.

How's that for trying to be impartial? I've said all along that it's very very difficult to repeat, though.

20. Definitely biased vote
As a FSU alumni I have to go with FSU. Though I do think that Michagan will most likely take the title this year, which is a whole lot better than having Miami win it.

How sick is this? Miami finally played Florida the past two years and now won't play them again for several years. FSU plays Miami AND Florida this year and EVERY YEAR!!

22. judging on the remaining games
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 09:43 AM by northzax
I'm afraid I have to go with Miami (although my heart belongs in Ann Arbor) Who do they have to play? they only have two games remaining that they MIGHT lose, to VaTech (in blacksburg, natch) and in Tallahassee. That's it. Oh, that's right, they also have that brutal conference schedule, Boston College, West Virginia, Temple, Rutgers...ohh, shiver me timbers them's some tough teams.

Oklahoma has three losable games left, at Texas, at Colorado and the big 12 title game.

Michigan has the toughest schedule of all, with four teams in the top 20, the first three on the road. plus Michigan State (always a tough game in East Lansing) and Ohio State to end the season. If Michigan gets past Oregon on saturday, they become favourites to get to the sugar bowl. But they won't Oregon 35, Michigan 28. You saw it here first.

Ohio State has no rushing game. you can't get through the Big Ten without one. nuff said.

USC is interesting, but strength of schedule will kill them. they need to be first in both polls to have a shot. And they may not even win the Pac-10. Think about that. The other team to fear is Oregon (more speed even than USC) and they don't play. both teams could, given schedules, run the table in the conference, giving the tie-breaker to Oregon.
